A lot of problems can be solved and avoided in the future if you keep the system's Registry clean. Of course, no one is expecting you to delve into the Registry and manually remove individual files. This is why specialized utilities like RegDefense exist. You can use this piece of software to locate redundant Registry entries, leftover keys and other junk that clogs up your system. Any novice user can maintain their Registry, thanks to its straightforward functionality.

RegDefense is free to try with some limitations. It works on all modern Windows platforms and it can be installed in no time. The application doesn't have any special requirements and it doesn't ask for a significant amount of memory or processing power, so you can run it even on older machines.

Everything is done on a compact user interface. You can start scanning right away, but you can also target specific Registry sections before you begin. The software lets you analyze the results in detail and you can set it to ignore individual files if you want to. When you are ready, you can just click a button to delete all the invalid entries.

RegDefense can perform other operations, besides scanning and cleaning the Registry. Before it cleans anything up, the software can back up the Registry, just in case something goes wrong. Additionally, you can set up a schedule, if you want it to clean the Registry automatically on a regular basis. Another useful feature is the possibility of disabling or removing autostart entries for individual programs, which can speed up the system's startup process.

Regular scans with RegDefense are a sure way to keep a computer in a good working condition for as long as possible.

Pros

The software can identify and eliminate faulty Registry entries. It can be set to ignore individual results. Additionally, RegDefense can be set to run automatic cleanup jobs according to a schedule.

Cons

You can't actually clean anything unless you purchase the software.
